Here follows some useful information for newly arrived students:

  • Activate your university account and get the university card by either bringing a photo ID and your P- or T-number to the Infocenter, Studenthuset, located at Universitetsvägen 2B, near to Södra huset, building A, or (if you have a Swedish personal identity number “personnummer” and have used Antagning.se when applying), you can use our webservice: su.se/activate.
  • Register in person at the Department of Social Anthropology’s between August 25 and 28 (opening hours between 1 and 3 pm) or, if you have a Swedish “personnummer”, register online on su.se/activate and My studies. Online registration is open from 18 August to 29 August.
  • If you would like to, you can join one of the three student unions at Stockholm University.

My University is a portal where you can find links to a variety of student services. Here you can read more about IT for students.

At Infocenter in Studenthuset you may ask about everything concerning your studies, e.g. admission, the scholastic aptitude test, student exchange, scholarships, degrees, student support and more. Studenthuset is located at Universitetsvägen 2B, near to Södra huset, building A.

With Stockholm University’s mobile app, you can use your phone to orient yourself at the University and find services available for students.

Orientation Day

Orientation Day, 25 August, is an information packed day during the Orientation Week where newly arrived international students will receive information about practical matters such as banking, health care, computer accounts, student life, and Swedish language courses.

The library

Once you have ordered and received your university card, you can log on to the Stockholm University Library pages and manage your loans, interlibrary loans, reservations, orders, book a study room and suggest purchases.
