Work in Progress Spring 2014

The work in progress seminar series gives room for PhD students in anthropology to present and discuss their ongoing work. The intention of this seminar is to provide PhD students with an informal platform for communicating research and get valuable feedback from fellow students and other colleagues.

Workshop: Transnational migration and global work

The Department of Social Anthropology together with the Department of Human Geography organised the workshop Transnational migration and global work on March 6-7, 2014. Professor Brenda S.A Yeoh, National University of Singapore, and Associate Professor Johan Lindquist, Stockholm University delivered the keynote speeches. The workshop was held in cooperation between the partner universities Stockholm University, University of Helsinki and the National University of Singapore. It was financed by the Steering group for Transnational partnerships, Stockholm University.
