Attention Master students - Great fieldwork opportunities
Plats: Socialantropologiska institutionen, B600
Anette Nyqvist, director of studies advanced level and MFS coordinator, welcomes all first year Master students to a meeting about the different opportunities and possibilities that the Department offers for the upcoming fieldworks.
On the agenda:
Minor Field Studies (application deadline: June 2)
The Department has announced three MFS scholarships for Master and BA students enabling them to spend eight weeks in a so-called “developing country” to do fieldwork and gather material for their final theses. Victor Nygren, second year Master student and one of last year’s scholarship recipients, will attend the meeting to answer your questions and give advice on how to prepare for fieldwork abroad and make the most out of your time in the field.
Research project participation
The Department is happy to announce that we are able to offer Master students the possibility to participate in actual on-going research at the Department. Some of our researchers have projects that enables Master students to do fieldwork and write their Master thesis within the research project.
The projects in question are carried out by Associate Professor Beppe Karlsson, Associate Professor Alireza Behtoui, Professor Annika Rabo, Professor Erik Olsson and Dr Asta Vonderau. The researchers will be present at the meeting to explain more about their projects and what this opportunity involves.
Don’t miss this chance to find out how you could earn an MFS scholarship or take part in on-going research projects. We hope this meeting will leave you inspired and prepared for your final year as Master students!
Please note: The meeting is only for first year Master students.
