1. Activate your university account

For international students

To activate your university account you need to visit Infocenter and retrieve a one time code. By international students we mean exchange students, Erasmus students, master’s students etc. Please bring a photo ID or a passport!

For students with a Swedish personal identity number

If you have a Swedish personal identity number “personnummer” and have used when applying to courses in Sweden, you can use our web service: in order to activate your university account and also order your university card. You will not need to pick up a one-time code.

2. Register

Register at the Department of Social Anthropology in person between January 8 and January 11. The student office (located in room B621, house B, floor 6) is open between 13.00 and 15.00. Remember to bring a photo ID. If you have a Swedish personnummer, you can register online at and My studies.

3. Student union

If you would like to, you can join one of the three student unions at Stockholm University.

Orientation Day

Orientation Day, Monday January 15, is an information packed day during the Orientation Week where newly arrived international students will receive information about practical matters such as banking, health care, computer accounts, student life, Swedish language courses.
