KU Leuven, Belgium

CuMoRe conducts state-of-the-art anthropological research on human (im)mobilities, broadly conceived.

The main objective of this project is to investigate, empirically, the increasingly popular phenomenon across Europe of leisure-time endurance activities, particularly long-distance hiking and running.

The project is guided by a central research question: How do leisure-time endurance hikers and runners engage in their embodied physical activities and what does this tell us about the wider current societal context in which these mobilities take place?

Application deadline: August 31.
