Technology and Social Change is a nationally and internationally leading environment for research and education in how people create and use technology, and how technological change is interwoven with cultural patterns, everyday life, politics, ethics and economy. Third cycle and first cycle studies specialising in issues of technology and social change are carried out at the department.

This position is part of the project “A Feminist Approach to Medical Screening: Normativity as Research Object and as Practice,” financed by the Swedish Research Council.

The holder of the position is expected to examine screening for dementia, with a focus on what screening means for the screened subjects. The selected candidate will be expected to write scholarly articles in English, alone and together with other researchers in the project group.

The applicant shall have documented knowledge of the academic subjects of philosophy or ethics, and a good ability to express her- or himself in spoken and written English.

Documented knowledge in phenomenology of medicine/phenomenological philosophy, feminist theory and/or science and technology studies are of particular merit. Documented knowledge, and experience of empirical philosophy, i.e. combinations of empirical and philosophical work, are merits.
